More Powder More Fun

On the video

Staying upper village at Miharashi Apartments 19-29 Jan. Carrying a GoPro HD cam and Sony Xacti HD1000 (can add wide angle lens) with various other mounts and attachments including a monopod I hope to use for held held shots with the GoPro, will try a few different mounting positions as well - won't be helmet/head mounting but. Hope to have some good video, not a good at stills, (and no decent camera anyway). Actually not great at video either but will try all the same \:p After the epic failure using pinnacle studio last year (freezes and crashes mid edit) going 'lo-fi' this year and going to convert mp4 with Format Factory to AVI and use the bog standard Windows Movie Maker. Let's see how that goes...

Upgraded my board for this trip - had been cruising on a Burton Custom 166 ('08) the last couple of years and it was a good board for me, set back the bindings 20mm last year in Japan but still had to drive from the back leg a bit in powder.

Claimed a Jones Flagship 168 wide this year, running it with last years Gnu Fastecs at +12 and 0*, 24' and Sims Boa boots. Very excited about trying this out in the Hokkaido powder and expectations are high from the Custom.
